Powder Projects was established in 2004 and has continued to grow and innovate as the global industry has expanded, being recognised as reliable and innovative partners for key dairy companies worldwide. The passion for what we do is evident with quality and workmanship that is second to none.
Our History
More than 17 years ago, two friends, Jeff and John, passed up the easy road to form Powder Projects. Utilising their extensive experience in powder processing to build world-leading milk powder and infant formula manufacturing plants under their own brand.
Today Powder Projects is the major supplier of dry blended milk powder and infant formula manufacturing plants in New Zealand having completed leading projects for some of the biggest dairy companies in the world.
Our passion for what we do is evident. The quality and workmanship of our engineering is second to none, and our reputation in the industry is a testament to this. We go the extra mile for our customers, providing innovative solutions to ensure their powder handling systems and processes are the best they can be.

Jeff Dance
Director and CEO
For over 29 years, Jeff has worked throughout the New Zealand Dairy industry, helping its leading businesses design, build and optimise their powder handling and packing operations. His extensive industry knowledge coupled with attention to detail and a passion for engineering robust solutions has earned Jeff a reputation as one of the best powder handling engineers in the industry. -
John Miles
Director
With 34 years of experience working in New Zealand’s dairy industry, John has worked directly with most of the leading dairy process providers. His drive to challenge standard conventions, combined with his wealth of engineering and powder handling experience, has enabled John to develop innovative process solutions, including two world firsts, that feature in the Powder Projects portfolio.
